1.The CORE Project’s Colleage of Humanities Mutual Exchange Lecture Program for the 2018 academic year is proceeding as follows. We ask that the departments disperse this information so that interested students may participate in the last two guest lectures.

A. Title: <The New World’s Baroque>
  - Date & Time: 4:00 PM ~ 6:00 PM Wednesday, November 7, 2018
  - Place: Building 14 Rom # 610
  - Lecturer: Sang Kee Song (Korea University,  Department of Spanish Language and Literature) Invited Lecturer

B. Title: <East Asian Thought and Artificial Intelligence>
  - Date & Time: 4:00 PM ~ 6:00 PM Friday, November 9, 2018
  - Place: Building 14 Room # 610
  - Lecturer: Chaehyun Chong (Sogang University School of Humanities and International Cultures Philosophy Major) Invited Lecturer

2. Members of SNU staff will be participating in the CORE workshop detailed below.  Due to the workshop, it will be difficult to visit the office on Thursday afternoon. We ask for your understanding.

A. Date & Time: 1:00 PM Thursday, November 8, 2018
B. Place: Seoul Global Center International Conference Hall
C. Main Contents: share instances of inappropriate uses of the budget as well as instances of good management of the Project from the last site inspection of working expenses

 

3. The integrated major program Data Science in the Liberal Arts will hold a lecture by special invitation. Participants can register until November 5th. Please disperse this information so that any interested students can attend. Please refer to the poster below for more specific information.

A. Title: Reading Lifestyle through Big Data
B. Lecturer: Hyeon-yeong Park (Daumsoft director)
C. Date & Time: 5:00 PM Wednesday, November 7, 2018
D. Place: Building 14 Room #B101

 

4. Interdisciplinary program Comparative Studies for East Asian Humanities will hold a lecture by invitation. No prior registration required. Please disperse this information so that any interested students can attend.

A. Title: Koreans detained in Siberia after World War II
B. Lecturer: Watanabe Naoki (渡辺直紀, Musashi University Professor)
C. Date & Time: 10:00 AM ~ 12:00 PM Friday, November 9, 2018
D. Place: Building 14 Room #203
