College of Humanities CORE Program News for December 11th, 2017

** Weekly or Biweekly Newsletter for Professors at the College of Humanities

1. 2017 CORE Symposium and End of the Year Party

The 2017 CORE Symposium will be held soon. As the second SNU CORE Symposium, it will inspire academic exchange and research activity amongst CORE undergraduate and master’s students building upon the tradition established by the previous event that was held last summer. Following presentations and debates from students, Professor of Asian History Ho-dong Kim will join us to give a special lecture titled <The Moving Court: The Truth of the System of Ordo in the Mongol Empire>. Following this lecture, arrangements are being made for professors to gather for a buffet and an end-of-the-year party in the College of Humanities Boreum Hall. Further details will be announced later as the schedule is finalized. We encourage all professors in the humanities to attend if at all possible. Lastly, preparations for the event would be made significantly easier if professors would email their intention to attend or not to the following e-mail address: snucore@snu.ac.kr.
