College of Humanities CORE Program News for May 8th, 2017

1. Application Deadline for 2017 Spring Semester CORE Joint and Interdisciplinary

   Overseas On-Site Education Support

     Support applications for the joint and interdisciplinary major on-site education

     organized by the Data Science in the Humanities program is due Monday, May 8th by 5:00 PM. 

 

       A. Eligibility

       - Incoming students to the CORE Project joint and interdisciplinary majors

          (Comparative Studies for East Asian Humanities, Classics and Philology,

              Data Science in the Humanities, Political and Economic Philosophy)

       - All enrolled students in the College of Humanities who are participating in the CORE

         program.

 

      B. Number of Participants: approximately 20 students

 

      C. Location and Key Events

          - San Francisco, United States: Scheduled to depart from the end of June

                                                                      to the beginning of July (5 nights and 7 days)

          - Observation of the Stanford and Berkeley Digital Humanities Programs

          - Visits to companies such as Google and Apple (scheduled)

 

 

2. CORE First-Year Annual Evaluation Form Submissions

     A. Online Submission: Friday, May 12th to Monday, May 15th by 5:00 PM

     B. Offline Submission: Same as the online submission period; submit

                                                    with the self-assessment report

     C. Consultation and on-site inspection are scheduled for the end of May

             after the written evaluation

 

 

3. Completion of Qualification Inspections for CORE First-Year Academic 

   Support Grant Master’s Student Recipients by the NRF 

     A. Inspection Date: Thursday, April 27th at 5:00 PM

     B. Inspection Location: College of Humanities Building 14, Room 601

     C. Inspection Documents: Academic support recipients’ four major insurance

            documents (as of December 1st, 2016) and school register
